RSA NEWSLETTER – AUGUST 2020

To bring you up to date on what is happening, or more precisely what is not happening at the moment with the RSA due to the Corona Virus.

The committee are still not back in the office at Heston although a couple of committee members have been in just to check on e mails and post.

We have been extremely lucky in receiving a full refund from Success Tours at the end of July instead of March 2201 as expected. for Northern Cyprus. We are very grateful to Success Tours for the way they handled the cancellation. There was no question of a voucher to use in the future, the full refund was offered straight away which  the RSA has passed on to our members.

The proposed visit to the Cockney Cabaret on 1st September has been cancelled due to the difficulty of social distancing on the boat where these events take place.  Members who had booked will have received a full refund.

Krakow in September has also been cancelled and those of our members who had booked will have received a full refund.

As you can imagine arranging all these refunds has been extremely hard work and our thanks go out to Margaret Currie our Treasurer for organising these refunds to our members.  It has certainly been a lot of work for her.

We have also rebooked holidays that were postponed from this year to 2021,  Ilfracombe is now departing 10th May and Scarborough has been rebooked departing 12 July.  Teapot island a day t rip has been rebooked for 21st June.

One other UK holiday has been booked for September 2021 to North Wales and the full itinerary is

under “Holidays” on our website.

We had booked one overseas trip for March 2021 before the lock down and at the moment we are uncertain whether this will go ahead, but we hope things will be back to  normal and this trip will take place.  The itinerary is under “Holidays” on our website so you can get an idea of the trip.

Please continue to look our website as this is our only means of communicating with you at the monent.
